A bit about me...
My name is Jodi Zevon and I have been tutoring mathematics for over 30 years. Yes, I am old! But not as old as you might imagine. I began tutoring at 16, helping students in lower math classes. I went on to design review courses for final exams and SAT prep courses along with my private lessons. I have a passion for helping people and a strong creative side which allows me to engage and relate to all types of students. I have also been a classroom teacher at several independent schools in Los Angeles for over 18 years as well as mathematics department chair and technology coach.
My credibility and education relating to tutoring include a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from UCLA, Geometers’ Sketchpad 5, and AP summer institute for Calculus. I have tutored students of all ages and in all math subjects. From basic math to college level courses, I have worked with tiny tots, grateful grads and everyone in between. I specialize in high school mathematics and standardized test prep. I have taught (in the classroom) 7th grade math through AP Calculus. As department chair, I worked on curriculum design and technology integration. Having been a student, a tutor and a classroom teacher I know how to cater to everyone's needs. I’ve seen it all!
In my free time, I enjoy doing sudoku, logic puzzles and all other nerdy activities that you would want and expect from a math tutor. I look forward to meeting and working with you!
